Saturday 4th – bike *** Around Felixstowe with lunch at the Ferry – cloudy, mild with a light breeze.

Relaxing start today followed by an industrious morning at home, I did my exercises while Mag worked in our porch up a small ladder getting the ceiling ready to paint, then we took the front door off, heavy too to plan the bottom and it now closes without sticking for the first time in 20 years! Then I made a quick lunch and we headed out on our bikes, down to the busy prom as we slowly made our way to The Fludgers and around to the much quieter Dip, stopping at our spot by the mouth of the River Deben for lunch:) Had a nice picnic enjoying the peace and quiet with some top clouds once again. We then carry onto The Ferry, stopping to take some pics of the heavy plant working on the sea defences. A quick spin around the boat yard before setting off on the river path to Kings Fleet, up Marsh Lane taking Gulpher Road back to Walton. Down Maidson Road and home for a cuppa and cake, top day:) Had one of todays pics chosen as BBC’s Editor’s Pick but sadly it did not make it onto the TV :(
